Autumn Carpet

The leaves have fallen thick and fast in parts of our garden. We had a dense golden carpet of them to deal with today. Along with Ken, our garden helper, we raked and raked and deposited the leaves from the lawn into two enormous wool sacks and a huge plastic bag. Keith and Ken took the trailer and bags of leaves to the green garden waste depot. They will become compost in future. Bad weather with gales is forecast for the next few days. So no doubt we will have more carpets of leaves to deal with.
