Rarer than a snowflake in East Lothian
Bit of a desperation blip tonight. Here's one of my Christmas cards for this year. Don't worry, most of them will be the usual round of felt, shiny card and glitter, but I thought we'd have a civilised one too this year.
You will probably not be surprised to learn that I did not take the snowflake pictures on the front. They were taken about 100 years ago by the rather amazing 'Snowflake' Bentley who took the first picture of a snowflake in 1885 and went on to take thousands more.
Probably the only snow we'll see at home this year (again). Living by the sea is lovely, and I should be grateful to be able to avoid driving in the stuff, but I do miss snow a bit. (Probably tempting fate: tonight East Lothian will get its biggest dump of snow in history and I won't be able to leave the house for a week. Given the clear skies I think I'm safe.) Anyway, we'll see plenty of snow in a few weeks as we're off to Vermont - quite close to where Mr Bentley found his snowflakes.
That sofa could do with a quick vacuum I think.
