Southern Gray Tree Frog
On our walk this morning I noticed a lump on top of a board fence - which turned out to be a Gray Tree Frog! Very exciting, because I hardly ever see them. I hear them, but they're so good at hiding on the trunk of a tree, they're nearly impossible to spot. You'll notice that this one is trying to look like the trunk of a tree, and doing an excellent job - but the black fence board is not quite the right surface to blend into. They can also turn green, I think. I think this might be a female, because she appears to have a light colored throat. Also, she's big. Isn't she lovely?
