MonoMonday: Grandfather Clock

When my daughter was a toddler my parents moved to California.  They hated to leave her (and us) but they wanted a more temperate climate.  This was well before Skype and Facetime and my dad wanted a way to stay close to Becky so he wrote short stories and mailed them to her every week.  Becky was always captivated by the clock so the main characters became Grandfather Clock and Princess Rebecca and they had many adventures with their friend Flamebreather the dragon.  The clock was in the house where I grew up so it has made many moves through the years and now resides in my living room and someday it will be in Becky's living room.  My dad always wore a hat and hung it on the clock when he came in.  His summer hat (Colorado Rockies) is hanging there now and it will be replaced by his winter hat when the weather gets cold again.  It just wouldn't look right without the hat.  So....I think this clock is part of our heritage and it is my entry for the challenge today.  Thanks to nickimags888 for hosting this week!
