With mountains like these

Cala Agullo

Thanking the sunset making clouds of yesterday evening for a much cooler day, we explored Capdepera castle after lunch, a little boy's dream of castellated walls with no barriers. Some of it dates back to the Twelfth Century and has such an Arab feel to it still.

Descending into the tourist area was a bit disappointing until we hit the beach. Rollers were crashing in with a part cordoned off for surfers, but otherwise the place was invaded by German and a few Russian towels, with a bit of an Ibizan feel in the chiringuitos.

A bottom emblazened with the word Australia disappeared into the heavy surf and M shot a few waves. Little Agu and I just drowned a bit in the washing machine, not quite yet experienced in the ways of riding.

The lifeguards were more concerned with the punters doing the same, but a bit too close to the rocks or the daft ones way out on their lilos, until it was time to give up on them and head home with their tans.
