Farmers' Market
Although we have five children and eleven grandchildren between us, it was just the four of us having coffee and delectable pastries at Angelicas, the French Bakery in Sebastopol. At the next table 3 generations of women were tucking into three tiered cake plates filled with beautiful bites. While the baker described in some detail what was in each of the bites, the two year old was playing vigorously with the china cups and saucers.
Things were hopping at the Mothers' Day edition of the Farmers' Market. There were improbably coiffed chickens, miniature horses, and a smattering of geese and ducks in little enclosures, dozens of food stalls offering everything from breakfast to tamales. We have finally reached the point that we have enough things growing in our own garden that all we came away with was a bag of micro greens filled with flower petals (see extra). It will go in the salad tonight…unless we mistake it for dessert
