A Whisp of....

Wisteria. It's only started to bloom in the last few days. An unseasonably warm 27 degrees today! And how lovely it was. Just for a second you could pretend you were in Spain. I always look forward to going each summer, although I'm trying to plan a big trip for August as well but logistically it's proving tricky. That and the time it takes to actually sit down and do the research. 

I was supposed to have a brunch date with a potential date this morning. I suggested a drink one evening, he suggested brunch today. So being that he was away the first part of the weekend we went for that. But I just knew somehow it wouldn't materialise. And that suits me just fine. I have zero expectations when it comes to dating anymore. In truth I doubt I shall ever find somebody (see yesterday's Blip). Ah well. It freed my day up to do the things I wanted to. Although brunch in the sun would have been nice too. 

I went to gym this evening. It was quiet, partly because there was a comp today and also due to the weather. It was nice, and I was encouraged to enter the next competitions coming up, something I've resisted thus far. We'll see. I might experiment with some routines when I have the time. I did get some good advice from a gym girl I didn't know, who works as a PT. I'm frustrated as despite lifting weights religiously every day, I've yet to see the results I want. 

The key? Protein! And then more protein! And breaking the muscles by doing more. Alrighty then ;-)
