A load of .....
..... bullocks.
I've had another busy day at work, but luckily the best of the day was after I finished this evening.
I called around to see my friends Mr and Mrs P who are off to the coast for a weeks holiday. I have been tasked with feeding and watering their cat, Rocky and their two rabbits, Loppy and the evil Kita. I'll be lucky if I still have all my fingers left by the end of the week. As always Mrs P's hospitality was great and before I left I had consumed the largest scone ever seen ( with lashings of clotted cream and jam ) and a portion of home made honey jelly with Chinese fruit in it.
After getting home I then set off on a bike ride with Alison. This evening we went on the Burley route wich is a nice slog of a climb up to Ilkley moor on roads and good tracks and then a couple of miles of fun fast down hills through less defined tracks and fields. After the recent wet weather the fields were really boggy. I didn't think it was possible to end up muddier than we were on Tuesday's ride, but we did. Alison started the trip wearing white and finished it wearing brown. She also managed to loose her water bottle on one of the fast downhill sections. They are real bone shakers and she didn't even notice the bottle jumping out of it's holder.
The one thing that always worries Alison about this ride is that we have to go through lots of fields full of animals. One time ( when I wasn't with her on the ride ) she managed to end up in a field with a bull that wasn't too happy to have her there and she couldn't open the gate. Now everytime we cycle that route she is on the look out for bulls before she enters every field. Luckily the lads in this photo were on the other side of a barbed wire fence with about a dozen other young bullocks.
My other options for today's blip were a tiny frog ( one of the fields we went through was full of them, we probably squished a few ), a bumble bee on a thistle and a load of crows in a field. As all the other photos weren't as in focus as I would have liked, today's blip is .....
..... A load of bullocks.
