A snooze in the sun

A short walk at Hayfield in the sunshine this afternoon - it looked like the world and its wife and the three kids and a dog had been out on Kinder Scout -  some even looked like they had enjoyed it.

We went looking for Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, Cuckoos and any other summer visitors.   Nice songs and a good view of one of three Pied Flycatchers along the route but no luck with Redstarts or Cuckoos. We did get to hear Garden Warbler and Blackcap  - so helpful to hear both a short distance from each other :-)

The Rams were sleeping as if they had been to the pub for a lunchtime drink
