The Mezzo Soprano

We went to the Phil for Crosby Symphony Orchestra's annual Charity Concert. We have a friend who plays in the violin section, and another who was in the choir for today's performance of Mahler's Symphony No 2. It was a great occasion, but the show was stolen by a brilliant performance by Stephanie Guidera who was the mezzo soprano. Stephanie's mother, Maria, used to be one of my students and I was busy congratulating her after the performance, when she introduced me to Stephanie with a "This is Simon, who used to be one of my tutors. He was famous for his tank-tops". So now you know all that needs to be known.
