5x-

The beautiful weather goes on and we went down to the boathouse at 7am for a rowing session. Amazing (again) that there were no other boats on the lake, even not fishers. During the 1.5 hours we only crossed one motor boat.

On the picture the stern of our boat, a non-standard 5x-. Basically it is a coxed squad (4x+), but we can change the cox seat to an additional rowing seat, therefore becoming a 5x-.

The classification is:
- number (e.g. 4 rowers)
- x stands for a sculling boat, i.e. each rower has 2 oars (or sculls)
- + stands for coxed, - for coxless
