A gorgeous day!

What a beautiful day, it is hot, all the doors and windows are wide open and the blossoms look magnificent against that blue sky. The birds are constantly singing - has anyone else noticed that when visiting other countries you do not hear bird song like in the UK? (Unless you are in a rain forest, of course) There are currently 574 bird species found in the UK, and given the comparative small size of this country that makes for a rather dense population of birds!

I can sleep easier now that Adam's power lifting competition is over and no obvious harm was done! He had to lose 5kg in 5 days to be at the required weight and anyone knows how tricky that is - drinking excessive amounts of water all week and then dehydrating just before the competition through hot salt baths and other ridiculous methods - it makes my hair curl just to think about it (and my hair does not curl, no matter what you do to it!!)

I cannot wait to watch the next episode of Indian Summers tonight - last week's episode showed psychopathic Charlie (Alice's husband) at his absolute worst. Sadly they have decided to cut the series and so this will be the final series, just as it was getting really good. It's also the final series of The Good Wife - I suppose all good things have to come to an end.
