At 7.15 am it was definitely breakfast on the move for these cyclists. A bakers dozen from thousands taking part in the Fred Whitton challenge, a 112 mile cycle event around the lakes and over many of the mountain passes. I knew the cyclists would be out and didn’t intend to photograph them but couldn’t pass this photo opportunity without trying a few shots.

The technical bit. The Olympus Tough has limited manual control but I had it set on an ISO which I thought would allow me to shoot hand held but blur the cyclists nicely. What I didn’t know was that when you switch to drive mode it defaults to auto ISO. So, not the effect or image quality I was hoping for but still worth blipping.
