Dunnock
A small perching bird found throughout europe and Asia, similar in size to the House Sparrow. it has succesfully been introduced into New Zealand.
Other common names Hedge Accentor, Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Warbler.
The name comes from the Ancient British Dunnakos, meaning little brown one!
