Goosedown

Last night we had been feeding a pair of geese but we hadn't realised how close to their nest we had moored. They were on the opposite bank to the boat so this morning I got some shots of Mrs Goose preening herself and arranging the down around her eggs while Mr Goose paraded up and down the canal keeping the other Canada geese well away.

it's been lovely on the Caldon canal but we are now on our way back down to Stoke to join the Trent & Mersey.
