Mallard and ducklings

A day of hazy sunshine and some cloud.  Went for a long walk this morning, cold hasn't developed just a bad throat.  I think it might be due to stress as this happened in the last few months of mums life.
It was a good walk for wildlife, saw my first ever cuckoo, two moths I hadn't seen before, lots of wildflowers and birds.  Also two moorhens were  seeing off a the mallard in the main pic, don't know why as she was just going passed with her ducklings!  Put it on extra with a distant shot of the cuckoo and green-veined white butterfly.
