Double trouble

High light of the day today were these two. They were trapped in a pipe between two storm drains I could hear them but couldn't see or get to them. I tried multiple tools but nothing, not even the power of cabbage to entice them out, would work. Admitting defeat decided I would have to see if the fire service would help me out. As always top notch service from them. I suggested that if I was one end with my net and they ran their hose the other end we could flush them out with the water. A quick squirt of water and out they popped, a little soggy but other than that fine from their ordeal.
To top it all of as soon as they were out and calling away out popped mummy duck from the bushes, quick check over to ensure no lasting damage and off they waddled to their mum. Always good when you can bring a tear to some burley firemen's eyes.
Very hot day so inevitably very busy, but jobs like this one keep me smiling.
