Now You See It ....

A fantastic show day, great weather, superb plants, good company and excellent food!  I took over 200 pictures so choosing one is almost impossible, however I am sharing this plant as few if any viewers will have or will ever see it for real (yes, I know a couple of you might have!)  It was exhibited in a class for 'New or Rare in Cultivation.'  

Even fewer will be able to pronounce it's name :-)

As an extra is the write-up supplied by the grower, Robert Rolfe, a slightly manic plantoholic.  Robert lives, eats and breathes plants and is one of the most expert private growers of alpine plants in the world.  The entire plant is around six inches high although Robert also exhibited a larger, taller specimen.
