Faery Isles

The weather was dryer than I expected and not too cold despite the dull flat light. Went for a family walk to the Faery Isles with KK on his bike, all the hills make good practice.

Pleased with this shot as the weather was so flat but I managed to bring back some texture from the sky.

This is the view looking down on the area known as the Faery isles, a fairly remote place most frequented by people in boats. Usually we see no one down there but there were a few people about much to our surprise. One of those places that's best enjoyed without other people but then I'm spoilt.

Some really interesting land management going on in this area with the removal of conifers and invasive rhododendrons and the return to native woodland and beavers. Watched a pair of Ospreys for a while but didn't see anything else due to the number of dogs around.
