Finished At Last

It's taken over six years for this hotel opposite our apartment in Tangier to grow from bare earth to this. Mohsine describes it as expensive, which it is for most Moroccans, and it's not even five star. The Hilton round the corner, as yet unfinished, will be even  more expensive.

Tangier boasts a Movenpick, a Grand Mogadur, the Mnar Castle Hotel Apartments as well as the older, traditional El Minzah Hotel in the Medina for those with money to splash out. And you do see the celebrities at El Minzah. It's one of those places where you need to be seen if you think you're anyone. As someone on TripAdvisor said, it's getting a little 'tired.'

We had 'guests' in our apartment which was why we had motored into Tangier. We do like to come and make use of the internet in the downstairs cafe. The drive from Ksar Sghri is beginning to feel leisurely.
