Peace Camp II

We only decided last week that Peace Camp at Cemaes Bay in Anglesey was likely worth going to see. Booked a camp site and off we trotted. The installation is at 6 locations around the country and Cemaes was the nearest one to us. Our tickets gave us an entry slot at 12.30am so we hung around in the pub for a bit before walking up the hill to the cliffs above the bay where the tents had been pitched.

I'd seen pictures on the web, so had a good idea of what to expect. We'd also scouted it out earlier in the day just so we knew where we were going and how far it would be to walk back to the campsite. There were a few people around when we got there, but it was hardly packed. We didn't bother with the main entrance - we walked in from the side. And it was so well worth it. Peace and calm from the diffuse lights from the tents and recorded poems playing at a low volume from each one. We sat on our rug and drank wine from bottles as well as drinking in the atmosphere. When we left at well after 1am this morning, we may well have been the only people there.
