Mother's Day Brunch

Merrick's preschool class had a brunch for their mothers today. Obviously, the hostesses (the staff) were the princesses from the Disney movies (along with Shreck.)

The princesses served several types of finger food from cucumber sandwiches to fruit kabobs. There must have been 9 different "courses."

I wasn't really up on all my princesses, so I  had to ask. From left to right...the Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Shrek, Merrick, Fiona (Shrek's girlfriend), Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Anna and Elsa from Frozen, and Cinderella. WHEW!

The kids sang a very cute song for their mothers, but I thought the program needed a little something more. Since we had just watched Frozen on Saturday night, I grabbed a gallon zip-lock bag full of ice, and a microphone...and belted out the theme song. "LET IT GO...LET IT GO...CAN'T HOLD IT BACK ANY MORE..." And, I didn't hold it back!

The kids laughed and clapped as I flung the ice cubes at them, and the princesses...the princesses bowed down in Frozen reverence. To top it all off...Shrek responded with a GIANT BURP.

The "tree" in the background was probably 30 feet high, and...and...and...don't believe that last part. Elsa I am not.
