What is in there?

I watched a couple of blue tits dash round this tree searching in the cones for something, I assumed initially there were beasties inside but on seeing the photos it seems to be seeds, but maybe it is a mixed dinner. It seemed fairly random at first until I see they just kept going round the same cones all the time, assume they were the "ripe" ones!
