Caen

May he/she still be resting in peace.

Am on the ferry to Portsmouth - hello England au revoir France. Almost 18 days in France! J'aim France! Not sure I spelled that correctly.


Had a couple hours to make a circle around Caen to see briefly the abbéy and monastery built by and for William the conqueror and his lady Mathilda. All wonderful. And this cemetery. Caen was so bombed during the war but at the same time so many ancient buildings do stand grandly. An interesting smaller city for sure.
