Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute was built by the 3rd Marquis of Bute who was reckoned to be one of the richest meni n the world at the time. The house is full of the most detailed carvings and subtle carvings everywhere. Many illustrate his love of nature and represent the animals ,birds and flowers of the locality. He was very interested in astronomy and astrology with many of the ceilings showing the constellations set with crystal prisms. The extra shows the ceiling in the Marble Hall and the main picture is of the ceiling in the Chapel with red lighting. It is a fantastic house full of extravagant examples of great craftsmanship.
