All to myself

I love Newport. I love the Pacific Ocean. I love being by the sea and listening to the waves. This morning we wandered Newport’s Old Town Bayfront, a wonderful mixture of old and new; fishing boats and cafés; and lots of seal lions making lots of noise (see extra).

This afternoon Gordon hired a bike and took himself off. I walked for a long way on an almost deserted beach.
   
I imagine this place gets extremely busy in the summer . . . today I had it all to myself.
