Baardaap ...

It was a glorious day. Clear blue sky and a bright sun. In the middle of the day we walked through Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam. Named as the best zoo in the Benelux.

It was a bad time to take pictures. Bright backlight and harsh shadows. But yes, you are there and you try some. I chose an HDR image in black and white (combination of three - the same - photos in three different exposures). A black and white picture is often benefit from high-contrast image.

There spontaneously presented a subject, a Baardaap we call this animal.

There's no translation in English for Baardaap (would be literally Beard/ed Monkey). In English this monkey is known as 
- lion-taled macaque
- wanderoo
- old world monkey.
The scientific name is Macaca silenus.
