EL Nino

 

I travelled from Davao to Koronadal for a work related trip and the journey was disheartening. A month ago, a bloody dispersal of a rally happened between the police and farmers from North Cotabato asking for support and rice subsidies as the drought caused failures on their farms. I could not imagine the ordeal they had gone through and seeing how the current state of their lands, almost barren due to the drought, crushed my heart. I pray for the farmers. I hope for rain and help to come for them
