New York New York.
After twelve fantastic days on The Anthem of the Seas the time had come to head to New York. I was sad to leave, but also looking forward to two nights in New York where we were meeting up with my Uncle Jeff and Auntie Julie.
We got to the Library Hotel about eleven, and Jeff and Julie were waiting for us. We had a cuppa and a chat before all jumping on the metro to get on the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. We then walked to ground zero to see the fountains and go around the memorial museum (While in the museumI got some images of the house through from Si and Jo. Looks like the roof is coming along - see extra image).
After this Gem and Charlotte hit the shops (for a change), Mom, Dad, Gord, Jeff and Julie headed back to the hotel to make the most of the free wine and snacks, while Stu and I walked along the high line. It was a lovely afternoon, so quite a pleasant walk giving us a different view of the city.
Back to the hotel just in time for a free glass of prosecco and some olives and cheese, before getting ready for dinner. We headed to a lovely Italian restaurant, and after Gem, Charlotte, Stu and I headed to Times square. After a walk around we decided to head back to the hotel to try and get some sleep to prepare us for the busy day ahead.
