Maturation

A bit of an abstract today of whisky casks. Just a quick snapshot after leaving the distillery.

Maturation in whisky takes a legal minimum of three years and one day in an oak cask. I'm not too sure though why an extra day is added to the three years...

Work was fine. I've been a bit busy with one thing and another. Today I suprised a group of Finnish golfers by saying to them "Moi, Mitä kuuluu?", which in Finnish means "Hello, how are you?" I used to be able to say a bit more in Finnish, as I was learning it for a while, but then I stopped because I couldn't find the time for it, unfortunately. A fascinating language! If I can find the time, I'll take it up again!

The weather has been lovely and sunny but rather windy and cold.
