Well, a first for us today, lunch at the Athenaeum Club in London, guests of the wonderful Christopher Barker, descendent of the co-founders of the club. I doubt that we'll ever be back so we made the most of a splendid lunch followed by coffee in the second largest drawing room in London. Quoting Wikipedia ..... "It is primarily a club for men and women with intellectual interests, and particularly (but not exclusively) for those who have attained some distinction in science, literature or the arts. It has had many well known members" ........ and for a very short time ..... us. It was great!
