Bell Hanging
I have been helping out at the bell tower today. This is Ron the wrench tightening some of the 500 nuts and bolts that secure the bells to the frame which is secured into the tower itself.
Little bits of the tracery have to be put in place in the last window and then the frame which holds the louvres can be put in place. Unfortunately not enough oak has been ordered for the louvres so there will be a bit of a delay installing them.
We are continuing to put the floor into the bell chamber which will separate it from clock chamber below.
Two lovely pews have been taken up and put in the ringing chamber. We expect to have lots of visiting ringers as well as tower tours in the future.
