Whirling Dervishes

I went to this 'show' with a degree of trepidation, concerned that it might be a bit tacky. In fact the whole event was treated with respect, almost reverence.
The person introducing the event asked that no photographs be taken during their  ritual and said that an opportunity for pictures would be given afterwards... of which this is one. I came a way with a sense of peace and respect as well as admiration for people who could twirl on the spot for 10 minutes without falling over!
