Mist Ascending

I woke early, as seems to be the way for me now, so decided to get up and out! I planned to join the dartmoor walkers and mydartmoorwalks had suggested I leave the camera behind so I didn't get frustrated at the pace of the walk and no time for photos! I decided to give it a go so if I had photos already maybe it would all turn out good!
Halton Quay was it's usual calm and beautiful self, and through the rising mist Pentillie Castle could be seen and the Boathouse which I just love. I also love looking back to last year when I first took photos of places - what fun is blipfoto to let you travel back and have a vivid reminder of the time?! So home for breakfast - unfortunately not in time, a strange headache began to develop and it was breakfast, tablets, sleep and no walk for me!
For a while now I have been waking up suddenly from naps with a racing heart, it gradually settles and must be the adrenaline gradually dispersing. Why this should be occurring I can only put down to my disturbed nights sleeping pattern, along with the headaches - menopause is a bitch and I hope she leaves asap! Anyhow, once this settled I decided an allotment visit was probably not a good idea so decided to plant seeds instead! 26 pots of different squashes later I had also reorganised the pots in the garden and discovered my white wisteria had died. It's been in its big pot many years and I've no idea why it should have died, but my other one is just coming into flower so once it has finished I shall take the dead one out and give the living one it;'s bigger pot!
All this activity in what had developed into quite a hot, sunny day, meant I suddenly felt quite peculiar again, possibly also caused by my lack of food! So Eggy toast and more tablets and another sleep for me! Another sudden awakening and then I finished my book, which quite by chance was Jonathan Coe's The House of Sleep! It was in my pile of books to read and seemed like a good choice given the circumstances! Very good read it was too!
