Lokrum

Today we took a boat across to Lokrum island, just off the coast from Dubrovnik. Beautiful island with lots of walking tracks, and a fort at the top of a big hill giving wonderful panoramic views of the coastline. The island is full of peacocks and rabbits - all incredibly tame. There is also a really interesting botanical garden with loads of superb plants. Dotted around the island are many of the bushes I have in the photo - pittosporum - with the most wonderful scent. I have not come across these before. Totally lovely.
This evening we took a bus along to Dubrovnik port - an interesting place where some of the cruise boats moor but also loads of small boats and yachts. Had a lovely meal beside the harbour.
