This is an Asian Paper Wasp - a wild insect for Wild Wednesday.
 
-          It dines on the Monarch butterfly caterpillar to feed protein to the growing wasp larvae.
-          Towards the end of summer the diet changes from protein to nectar because the growth phase of the nest cycle is over and the wasps don’t need to gather much protein.
-         The wasps fly with "long dangly legs" which makes it easy to identify them.

This one was found inside on a net curtain in a very sluggish state. I placed it on a flower as it is another photo I want tagged as part of my blip collection of the Monarch Butterfly cycle.
