Work and swimming and after-school stuff and then my mum arrived to stay with us and then I went out for the evening.

Tindersticks at The Usher Hall. A very low-key but enjoyable first half and then after the interval it was 'The Waiting Room', the new album played live with a series of films projected onto the large screen behind the band, with each film for each song being directed by a different film-maker. I thought it worked really well. They did an encore after that but it seemed a bit perfunctory really, should have just left when the films finished and let the end credits roll...
