I went to Stockbridge with yet another consignment of books for the Oxfam bookshop, then walked back as far as Powderhall in order to pop in to B & Q (maybe I should get a loyalty card!). Bought a variety of fixing screw/plug/anchor things but no sighting of the kingfisher.

In fact the best I could do was a chaffinch turning its back on me.
