Poetry casts its magic in a hospital corridor

I've had a busy day today, taking down our exhibition at Shambellie and lugging all those A2 frames into the car and back to college. Then on to the hospital where my "Face to Face" photographs are to be shown in the corridor outside the canteen for a few days until they move to the R&D Unit to accompany D's talk on Facing Africa on Thursday night.
I went down to the canteen to have a look at where the photos will be hung and it's rather a depressing part of the hospital - underground and concrete. But this poem by Diana Hendry, who was once Poet in Residence, brings a bit of magic to the place.
