Cosmo Macro
It wouldn't be a valid test of equipment if I didn't shoot one of the Cosmos in my garden to see how it stacks up to the rest. Getting to know this little camera has been a lot of fun this last couple of days. The kit lens it comes with has a variety of features. First, it's a f/3.5-6.3 12-50mm dedicated 4/3rds lens. It has a ring on it that will allow you to zoom the full spectrum manually, or click it into a position and the zoom ring becomes an electronic zoom - very nice and smooth for video. One more click while pressing in the macro button and you have a very decent macro lens. This flower is pretty tiny, so I was up close and personal with focus obviously centered on the yellow stamens.
There are a lot of fine features with this camera that I'm still learning how to use. Olympus has done a nice job of providing a small OM 4/3rds camera with plenty of Digital SLR pro features and a great color pallet.
Tomorrow, I'll be testing out the 9 fps continuous mode at a baseball game.
Enjoy!
