Oh, The Irony ...

Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink ... or flush ...

It's bucketing rain (again) today.  There are overflowing puddles galore, and plentiful dripping from shrubbery outdoors, but not a drop of water to be found inside.  At some point in the night, our well pump decided to go on the lam.  This meant that this morning, there was nothing coming out of any of the taps or the shower, no flushing toilets available, and perhaps worst of all, nothing with which to make tea!

Thankfully,  our trusty well expert came right out first thing and replaced the faulty culprits.  He did tell me that we really need to replace the whole pump as it is quite elderly.  Another thrilling bit of maintenance that will be attended to in the next couple of weeks.
