On the mend

Taking a break from the usual theme because sometimes in life there are things more important than consistency.

My dog Lucy recently became very ill... to the point where she couldn't stand up. The initial vet visit found her to be in kidney failure with a grim outlook. It was recommended that she be sent to an emergency clinic where she could receive 24/7 care. And that was just "to give her a fighting chance".

A secondary evaluation concluded that she has Addison's Disease.

It pleases me to say that after 24 hours she is nearly back to normal. While she has a lifetime of medication to look forward to I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep her around.
