2016 Monday -- Drive-by Photo
Our son-in-law told us this evening about this home that's for sale in our community. He's somewhat interested in it. So we took a quick drive past it to get the address and to look at it on zillow.
This is the Zillow report "Marion Featherstone built the beautiful 2,400 sq. ft. Spanish-style home in 1940. This 2 bedroom, 4 baths home is filled with handcrafted architectural features. You will find many of the original materials are still in excellent condition both inside and out, such as: high-coved ceilings, a curved staircase with hand-forged wrought-iron railings, hardwood floors, bathroom tiles, leaded-stained glass windows, & sun-dial which welcomes you at the front door. Spacious bright living room that looks out onto the romantic courtyard on one side & Main Street on the other. The den features hand-painted wood paneling. The master suite, also on the ground floor, has a delightful view of the courtyard, cedar closets with many built in features. Spacious formal dining room, which opens up to the romantic courtyard, which is a wonderful spot for any event. Bright and sunny cable-car styled kitchen. The up-stairs guest suite hosts large three quarter bath, dressing room, study, & beautiful balcony, overlooking the beautiful courtyard. Sparkling pool & spa. Guesthouse included, 936 sq. ft. Stunning hardwood floors, art nouveau light fixtures in the living room and dining room. Large cedar lined closets in both bedrooms. Quaint kitchen."
It's rather a landmark in our community and it's located near the junior high school that both of us attended years ago.

P.S. My last meeting for my evaluation was today. Where I teach, fulltime faculty are evaluated every three years -- this semester was my turn. Three people were on my evaluation team; they each visited one of my classes and they each had to write a thorough report. I'm always glad when it's over.
