...is the house finch

some say this finch is just a - 'common' bird, not very pretty - not much going for it - kind of pesky - because they hang out in the trees a lot making much commotion - they are a boring bird - well excuse me, but that could be said about - a lot of us humans too, right?

yet in the grand scheme of things - i believe these tiny gems have - much to offer us - i enjoy their song - and with their antics as you can see here - there was some play going on - when i snapped this shot - other birds had just flown away leaving this - one shaking her head, with feathers slightly ruffled - as i think she appears slightly disheveled - although it could just be me seeing that - whatever the case, all of nature has - their role to play and are valuable - in their own respect - it's what i appreciate about the whole - of the animal kingdom - and for certain it's what makes for...
