Francois Gabart watching over the docking out of the undoubtedly massive Macif ahead of The Transat start in Plymouth today.
While it was great to get right up close to the boats in the marina, the start was a damp squib:The practicalities of handling these giant machines alone meaning the start was held outside of the breakwater making the sendoff a bit 'meh'.
Still, 6 hours in and Macif was already south of Ouessant, having covered 150 miles... Not so 'meh'.
