a shadow of hope

Although the twigs are still leafless by the creek, the shadow on the rock shows that higher up in the canopy things are beginning to leaf out!
This morning the temps started out below freezing, but the sky was blue and things warmed up, and Laney leapt for joy at the dog park.
It's good to be back home!
