Dr John - the Night Tripper!
fabulous evening in Edinburgh at the Dr John concert - love his brand of New Orleans 'swamp rock' and judging by his reception so did the rest of the - largely mature - audience. Wonderful how a couple of hours being entertained can transport you to a place where you have no worries and can just go with the flow.
Dr John - Mac Rebennack - is 71, hobbles on stage with his stick - hanging with vodoo symbols I think - check the skull with the old cap on too - yet gives almost two hours of amazing music, hardly a break between songs, even playing two pianos at once sometimes!
the concert was preceded by a lovely Italian meal just opposite the Festival Theatre, with a small dessert called 'caramel cup' - cappuccino and salted caramel ice cream, meringue buttons, baileys and caramel sauce poured over - hold the whipped cream!
and got a good lot done in the garden earlier today. just missed getting this in before midnight, now 12.35 so off to bed after a great day. There's three more images, including a couple of mono, in my blipfolio folder called 'people'
