Bluebells
Another day of two halves.
I spent the morning watching more Practical Photography DVD's which I thoroughly enjoyed and then when the rain stopped headed out to Pickerings Pasture for a walk.
There were lots of people around and I had trouble finding a parking space, but then I guess it was Bank Holiday Monday and wasn't raining!
There was not actually a great deal in the way of wildlife to shoot today - hardly any birds, the rabbits were too far away and there was no sign of the mink that has apparently made an appearance the past couple of days.
The wild flowers were quite pretty though, lots of blue bells and cowslips and blossom around.
But after an hour of not much wildlife, I headed over to Moore Nature Reserve in search of the kingfisher. By this time it was around 4:30pm and the light was poor with rain clouds approaching so I didn't stay to long. There were no sightings of the kingfisher today, but there were a pair of Canada Geese on the other side of the lake with 4 goslings - quite cute, but too far away for a picture.
But I've had a lovely bank holiday whilst my husband has been working and I have the rest of the week at home as well, so looking forward to maybe getting out in the early evenings as well. Happy days :)
Hope everyone else has had a good Monday.
