Set off around 10am from Manchester after taking the dog for a walk in the park with Cath and the kids.

Arrived in Calais and drove straight to the Ibis Hotel.  We made the mistake of going for the Budget one this time - never again!  Not only was the room a tiny box, but there were also stains on the walls and a view of a swamp outside! haha.  Due to all the problems in Calais at the moment, there were about 20 CRS vans, 10 motorbikes, and lots of CRS guys outside the hotel and staying there too.  Very strange!
