Buzzard

I hadn't intended to do a run of bird blips but the weather is so bad I'm not getting those idyllic views.

Today we were on a slight embankment and the buzzard was below us on the post. Not a view I have ever had of this bird! I would have liked the flying shot in Extras to have been pin sharp but it's the same old problem of hand-held heavy lens, moving boat, moving bird.

I really don't want to push the ISO higher in this poor light. I'm keeping the camera on manual with 1,000th sec, f5.6 and auto ISO so that when I see another kingfisher sitting on a branch I have a half-reasonable chance of a useable shot.
